Ionized-Air Bypass Configuration for off-gas treatment
The Ionized-Air Bypass Configuration represents a variation of the ionized air generation technology. This variation is especially suitable for applications with high air-flow rates and rather low concentrated odours. The contaminated air is not ionized directly in this case. Ionized air is generated from clean ambient air, which is then mixed into the contaminated air stream. A downstream reactor allows for sufficient reaction between pollutants and oxidants. The result is an odorless off-gas, which may be released into the ambient. The advantage of this variation is the fact, that the air-flow rate of the ionized air is much lower compared to the contaminated air. This results in significant cost savings.
